City Public Storage is a family-run storage and moving company in Dubai with more than ten years of experience. Our main facility is Warehouse E-12, DIRC Warehouse Complex, Dubai Investment Park 2, Dubai, UAE. We decide how and why your personal data is used when you visit citypublicstorage.com, contact us, or sign up for a service.

This policy follows the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).

 

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to our website, our online agreement portal, and the enquiries we receive through website forms, WhatsApp, email, and phone. It does not cover information handled in person at our facility or through channels unconnected to our website, except where we say so.

 

3. What We Collect

Enquiry details. When you submit a form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, preferred unit size, the service you want (storage, moving, or both), your area in Dubai, and any message you write.

Agreement and identity details. To prepare an agreement, we may ask for your address, a copy of your Emirates ID or passport, company details if you rent for a business, and a description of the items you plan to store.

Portal and signature records. If you review, sign, or pay for an agreement online, we keep the signed document, the date and time of signing, and the account details you used.

Payment information. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.

Communication records. We keep messages and call details exchanged through WhatsApp, email, and phone so we can follow up and resolve later questions.

Technical and advertising data. We automatically receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how long you stay. If you arrive from one of our Google ads, we also receive information about that ad click, such as the campaign and keyword that brought you here.

CCTV footage. Our facility is monitored by video surveillance around the clock.

 

4. Why We Use Your Information

We rely on your consent, the need to perform a contract with you, our legal obligations, or our legitimate interest in running a secure business. We collect only what is necessary for these purposes and do not use your data for unrelated ones.

 

5. Cookies and Google Ads

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep pages working, remember your preferences, and measure traffic. We manage these tags through Google Tag Manager.

Our climate-controlled units are protected by 24/7 video surveillance and computer-controlled access. Footage is used only for security, incident investigation, and protecting stored items. Only authorised staff can view it. We release footage only when the law requires it, a competent authority requests it, or an insurance matter demands it.

 

7. Who We Share Data With

We share personal data only where necessary, and only with:

• Google, for website tag management and advertising measurement as described in Section 5
• Service providers that support our email, WhatsApp messaging, payments, e-signature, website hosting, and accounting
• Our moving and packing teams, who receive the address and scheduling details needed to complete your job
• Government and law enforcement authorities, where the law requires it
• Professional advisers and insurers, where needed to protect our legal rights

These providers may use your data only for the services they perform for us. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

 

8. International Transfers

Google and some of our other providers may process data outside the UAE. When that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data stays protected in line with applicable law.

 

9. How Long We Keep Your Data

• Enquiries that do not become a booking: [12] months, then deleted
